Frequently Asked Questions

Check-in begins at 4:00 pm, and check-out is at 11:00 am. If you arrive early, you’re welcome to park in our lot and explore Chatham while we prepare your room. Stop by the front desk and we’ll do our best to expedite availability.

Please visit our availability calendar for current rates and openings. Rates are based on single or double occupancy and include full breakfast.

Most rooms accommodate up to two guests. Rooms 11 and 15 can accommodate three or four guests, with a $50 per night fee for each additional guest, up to the room’s maximum capacity.

As a romantic inn, we do not accommodate guests under the age of 12.

Yes. A valid credit card and full payment are required at the time of booking.

Weekends and peak periods typically have minimum stay requirements. Shorter stays may occasionally be available, especially between other reservations or last-minute cancellations. Please call 508.945.9232 to inquire.

For stays between November 1 and May 21

If you must cancel or change the date of your reservation, please provide written notice at least 14 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival to receive a refund of your deposit. Please note that the merchant services fee of 3.5% is not refundable. For cancellations received within 14 days of the arrival date, no‑shows and early departures, the total cost of the reservation, including tax, is forfeited.

For stays between May 22 and October 31

If you must cancel or change the date of your reservation, please provide written notice at least 30 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival to receive a refund of your deposit. Please note that the merchant services fee of 3.5% is not refundable. For cancellations received within 30 days of the arrival date, no‑shows and early departures, the total cost of the reservation, including tax, is forfeited.

No. Our full liquor license prohibits outside alcoholic beverages in common areas, the restaurant, wine bar or terrace. Alcohol is welcome in guest rooms.

Smoking Policy: Chatham Inn is a non-smoking property. Smoking of any kind is not permitted in rooms, balconies or verandas, restaurants, bars or common areas. Any evidence of smoking of any kind will result in a $200 cleaning fee.

We do not accommodate pets, but service dogs with proper documentation are welcome. Please inform us ahead of your stay.

We warmly welcome all guests. Due to the historic nature of our 1830s property, the inn is not fully accessible. A wheelchair ramp provides access to the lobby and first-floor restaurant, but guest rooms cannot be modified without compromising historic integrity.
