Chatham Inn is an 18-room luxury boutique in the seaside village of Chatham, a short walk from Lighthouse Beach on the outer elbow of Cape Cod. Every stay includes a beach shuttle and beach supplies, so guests reach the sand without renting gear. The inn holds Forbes Five-Star status and is Cape Cod’s only Relais & Châteaux member. It keeps the experience intimate on purpose, with no pool or private beach on the property, so travelers who want a full beach resort are better matched to a larger Cape Cod property. For a small, high-end coastal base, it puts galleries, shops, and the working harbor within walking distance.

Not ocean views. Chatham Inn is a village property at 359 Main Street, and the rooms look out over historic Main Street and the town rather than the water. The Signature Queen Fireplace Guestroom overlooks Main Street directly, and the Queen Guestroom is built around serene natural light and Chatham village views. The water is a walk away instead of a window away, with Lighthouse Beach and Chatham’s working harbor both within walking distance. If an unobstructed ocean or lighthouse view from the bed is the point of the trip, an oceanfront resort is the right choice.

Most of the 18 rooms sleep two. Rooms 11 and 15 take three or four guests, with a fee of $50 per night for each additional guest up to the room’s capacity. Among the published room types, the Chatham Junior Suite has two bedrooms and a sitting area across 344 square feet and sleeps three, and the Cape Cod Suite is 463 square feet and sleeps four. Because the inn does not accommodate guests under 12, the additional places are for adults. For a party larger than 18 rooms, ask about a full inn buyout.

Four of the seven room types are fireplace rooms. The Signature Queen Fireplace Guestroom is 269 square feet, looks over historic Main Street and has a marble spa bathroom. The Luxury King Fireplace Guestroom is 344 square feet with an indulgent spa bathroom and select fireplaces. The Signature King Fireplace Guestroom is also 344 square feet, with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. The Cape Cod Suite, the premier room at 463 square feet, has a fireplace and an onyx spa bathroom with a deep soaking tub. Several rooms also have a private balcony or a garden terrace.

No, and that is deliberate. Chatham Inn keeps 18 rooms, a restaurant and a wine bar instead of resort infrastructure, so there is no pool, no spa building, no fitness center and no private beach. Spa treatments come to you through the Spa Serenity in-room experience, and a beginner-friendly yoga class runs on the front lawn on Wednesday and Sunday mornings from 8:00 am, 31 May through Labor Day. Guests who want a full-service resort with those facilities are pointed to the larger Cape Cod properties
rather than sold a compromise.

Chatham Inn has 18 individually appointed rooms across seven types, ranging from 215 to 463 square feet, in an 1830 building at 359 Main Street. Four of the seven types have a fireplace, several have a private balcony or garden terrace, and most sleep two. Rooms look over Main Street and the village rather than the water.
